1. Sony Introduces New PS3 Controller…Hey, Wait a Minute! Sony introduced the PSMove Controller this week. And…it looks pretty much exactly like a WiiMote. Down to the nunchuck design (ok, it’s wireless, but still….). So, ten points for moving forward technology-wise, but minus a million for basically just ripping off the design.

2. Final Fantasy Doing Well. For a game with almost no American ad budget and fighting amidst all the big Triple A titles It’s still no surprise that a Final Fantasy game would top the sales charts. It’s a hell of a game though, and completely different from what you’d expect from a Final Fantasy game.

3. Conan O’Brien Still the Best thing in Entertainment. From the news that he’s going on a 30 city tour of the U.S. and Canada doing a variety show with Andy Richter (and his entire salary from that tour will be donated to his former staff) to the girl he’s been tweeting about having her wedding paid for and her life changed, Coco still has the power.

4. Lady Gaga Almost Died in a Hillarious Way. She got onto a plane in one over her stupid outfits, super tight shoes and a pantsuit made out of tape, and it cut off her circulation mid-flight. So the attendants had to cut her out of her pants and shoes just so she’d survive the trip. And, of course, she threw a big fit about STAYING ALIVE, because the suit was designed by a guy who just died recently.

5. Final Four in 3D! CBS is going to be broadcasting the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament in movie theatres. That is not news, in fact it’s just good business. But what is different is that they’re broadcasting them in 3D. Why? I’m not exactly sure. It’s an interesting idea. I’m not going to go see it, but I wonder if it’s the future of sports broadcasting (or I would be if it was 1980).
